Who
Bernardo Silva has spent more than fifteen years in software as a Senior Software Engineer, a Tech Lead and an Engineering Manager. He is the only person in the company, and the plan is to keep it that way.
Why it exists
Clients kept asking for more than a contractor usually offers. They wanted someone to make decisions and take responsibility, not only to write code. Digital Vault was set up in 2022 to do that.
Now
Digital Vault's main client is a UK retail supply-chain platform that has since become part of a larger group. The work is a mix of solving the product's problems, improving the product and leading the engineering team, which includes helping it adopt AI-assisted development.
